Project is creating 400 new manufacturing jobs, marking the largest job creation in Barren County in nearly two decades
KINGSCOURT, Ireland (October 16, 2025) – Tate, a global leader in data center infrastructure solutions and subsidiary of Kingspan Group PLC, has confirmed plans to establish its largest North American manufacturing facility in Glasgow, Kentucky. The company’s $61.2 million investment will create 400 new full-time manufacturing jobs, marking the largest economic development announcement in Barren County in 18 years.
Governor Andy Beshear joined Tate and Kingspan executives at Kingspan’s headquarters in Kingscourt, Ireland, to announce the project and celebrate the company’s commitment to Kentucky’s manufacturing future.
“We are thrilled that Tate plans to make Glasgow their new Kentucky home with the largest job creation project we’ve seen in nearly two decades,” said Gov. Beshear. “Kentucky’s skilled workforce, central location, and leadership in advanced manufacturing continue to attract global companies. I want to thank Tate and Kingspan for choosing to invest in the Commonwealth, and I look forward to their success and future growth.”
The 764,000-square-foot facility in Glasgow will manufacture high-performance thermal management and airflow solutions designed to optimize efficiency and reliability in data centers around the world. The project represents Tate’s first operation in Kentucky and a major expansion of the company’s U.S. manufacturing footprint.
“We’re delighted to become part of the Glasgow community,” said Daniel Kennedy, Tate’s Global President of Cloud Solutions and Innovation. “Expanding our manufacturing capabilities in rural Kentucky reflects our commitment to bringing high-quality jobs and sustainable manufacturing to the region.”
Founded in 1963 and headquartered in Columbia, Maryland, Tate is recognized globally for its innovation in data center infrastructure design, including structural aisle containment systems, structural ceiling solutions, and raised access flooring. The company employs more than 1,800 people across 21 facilities worldwide. Its parent company, Kingspan Group PLC, operates 273 facilities and employs over 27,000 people in 80 countries.
Local and regional leaders welcomed Tate’s investment as a transformative milestone for the community.
“This is a once-in-a-generation milestone for Glasgow,” said Mayor Henry Royse. “The creation of 400 new jobs marks the largest economic development investment in nearly 20 years. We celebrate not only new opportunities for our citizens, but also a brighter future for generations to come.”
Barren County Judge/Executive Jamie Byrd added, “This historic announcement reinforces what we’ve always known – that Barren County is a place where businesses can thrive and families can prosper. We’re proud to see our community chosen for such a transformational project.”
