SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. – September 24, 2025 – ZF Chassis Systems Duncan, a global leader in chassis systems, modules, and assemblies, announced plans to expand its operations in Spartanburg County. The company’s $55.4 million investment will add 30 new high-tech manufacturing jobs to the Upstate region.
With more than 30 years of chassis assembly expertise, ZF Chassis Systems Duncan provides axle system assembly and logistics services to a leading global automotive manufacturer.
Governor Henry McMaster said, “South Carolina’s exceptional workforce continues to allow automotive companies like ZF Chassis Systems Duncan to thrive. We appreciate the company’s latest investment in our state and look forward to the impact these new opportunities will have in the Upstate.”
The expansion includes a move into a new 477,360-square-foot facility located at 171 International Park Drive in Spartanburg. This additional capacity will enable ZF to scale production and increase its annual output of precision axle assemblies. Operations are expected to go online by September 2027.
The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has awarded a $100,000 Set-Aside grant to Spartanburg County to support building improvements tied to the project.
