Bowling Green, Ky. – Uzbekistan-based AKFA Aluminum Solutions has officially launched construction on its first U.S. manufacturing operation in Bowling Green, Kentucky, a project expected to create 331 new jobs and strengthen the commonwealth’s position as a destination for global advanced manufacturing investment.
The groundbreaking represents a significant milestone for AKFA Group, marking the company’s first manufacturing presence in the United States and introducing one of Central Asia’s largest industrial manufacturers to Kentucky’s growing industrial landscape.
State and local leaders joined company officials to celebrate the launch of the project, which will establish a full-cycle aluminum production hub featuring advanced extrusion, anodizing and finishing capabilities designed to meet U.S. environmental and energy standards.
Gov. Andy Beshear said: “Today’s groundbreaking reinforces Kentucky’s ability to attract investment from companies across the globe. AKFA’s decision to establish its first U.S. manufacturing operation in Bowling Green brings high-quality jobs to south-central Kentucky while further strengthening our economic momentum.”
The new facility will integrate recycled aluminum billets and energy-efficient technologies to support a lower-carbon manufacturing process, aligning with broader industry efforts focused on sustainability and supply chain efficiency.
AKFA officials say the operation will position the company to better serve North American customers while expanding manufacturing capabilities and strengthening collaboration between its U.S. and international operations.
Alisher Srajidinov, Management Board Member and Chief Operating Officer of AKFA Aluminum Group, said: “The groundbreaking ceremony marks an important step in AKFA Aluminum Solutions’ long-term presence in the U.S. market. This facility will allow us to deliver advanced manufacturing capabilities, create quality jobs and establish stronger relationships with customers while supporting continued growth.”

The company employs more than 8,000 workers across 20 production facilities and manufactures approximately 100,000 tons of product annually serving construction, transportation and renewable energy markets worldwide.
Local leaders emphasized the broader impact the project will have on Warren County and the region.
Doug Gorman, Warren County Judge/Executive, said: “Today’s groundbreaking represents more than a construction project. It marks the beginning of new opportunities for residents, local businesses and the workforce throughout our region.”
Todd Alcott, Mayor of Bowling Green, noted: “AKFA’s investment demonstrates the strength of Bowling Green as a place where international companies can succeed. Projects like this support quality employment opportunities while contributing to the community’s continued growth.”
Economic development officials also highlighted Bowling Green’s increasing appeal to international companies seeking strategic locations and skilled labor access.
