COLUMBIA, S.C. (Mar. 24, 2026) — AMAROK, LLC, a leading perimeter security solutions provider in North America, announced plans to expand its operations in Richland County with the construction of a new national headquarters facility. The $69 million investment is expected to create 296 new jobs and support the company’s continued growth across the United States.
The new 125,000-square-foot headquarters will be located at the corner of Freed Street and Boyce Street within Columbia’s BullStreet District. The project is designed to accommodate AMAROK’s expanding workforce and reinforce its long-term presence in South Carolina. Operations at the new facility are expected to begin by the end of 2028.
Founded in 1973 as a small family-owned business in downtown Columbia, AMAROK has grown into a national leader in commercial perimeter security. The company provides integrated electric fencing systems alongside video surveillance, monitoring, access control and lighting solutions. Today, AMAROK serves customers in 49 states and employs more than 600 people nationwide, with clients including major global brands.
Company leadership noted that sustained growth over the past several years made the headquarters expansion a strategic priority. State and local officials emphasized that the project reflects South Carolina’s strong business climate and skilled workforce, which continue to attract corporate investment and headquarters operations.
To support the project, the Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits and awarded a $200,000 Set-Aside grant to Richland County for site preparation and construction assistance.
The expansion further strengthens Columbia’s position as a growing hub for corporate headquarters and advanced business services, while creating new career opportunities for the region’s workforce.
