PARIS, Texas — Ametsa Packaging LLC is expanding its operations in Paris–Lamar County with a $2 million capital investment that will add a new bottling line and create up to 50 jobs, further strengthening the region’s growing food and beverage manufacturing sector.
The new production line, scheduled to launch in the second quarter of 2026, will expand the company’s capabilities into non-alcoholic beverage manufacturing. Production will include electrolyte and hydration drinks, flavored carbonated and non-carbonated beverages, and micro-sensitive products processed through advanced retort systems.
This expansion builds on Ametsa’s existing operations at its 350,000-square-foot facility on Paris’ northwest side, where the company currently employs approximately 80 workers focused on sweeteners packaging and related production.
Strategic Growth in Food and Beverage Manufacturing
The investment reflects Ametsa’s continued confidence in the region’s workforce, infrastructure, and business climate.
“Our experience growing operations in Paris and Lamar County has been extremely positive,” said Carlos de Aldecoa. “With strong community support, an effective economic development team, and access to a skilled workforce, expanding here was a natural next step for our business.”
Founded as a third-generation family business, Ametsa brings diversified expertise across bottling and packaging, coffee and sweeteners, spirits distillation, logistics, and real estate. Since launching its Paris operation in 2023, the company has transformed a previously underutilized industrial facility into a fully active production hub.
Local Impact and Workforce Investment
Economic development leaders say the project underscores the region’s ability to support both new investment and the expansion of existing industry.
“This expansion is a significant win for Paris and Lamar County,” said Maureen Hammond. “The addition of up to 50 jobs represents meaningful growth, and Ametsa’s commitment to investing in people and operations strengthens our local workforce and long-term economic outlook.”
Josh Bray added that the company’s continued investment is helping drive economic momentum in the community.
“Ametsa has brought renewed activity to a previously idle facility while creating quality jobs,” Bray said. “This type of strategic expansion reflects the strength of the company’s leadership and reinforces our ability to support long-term industrial growth.”
Strengthening a Key Industry Cluster
Manufacturing remains a cornerstone of the Lamar County economy, and Ametsa’s expansion further positions the region within the competitive food and beverage production sector.
By diversifying into beverage manufacturing while maintaining its existing packaging operations, the company is enhancing supply chain capabilities and reinforcing the region’s role in value-added production.
For site selectors and industry leaders, the project highlights several key advantages:
- Availability of scalable industrial facilities
- Access to a skilled and adaptable workforce
- Strong local and regional economic development support
- Opportunities for expansion within established manufacturing clusters
Positioned for Continued Growth
Ametsa’s expansion signals continued momentum for both the company and the region, demonstrating how strategic investments in existing operations can drive job creation, industrial reuse, and long-term economic resilience.
As global supply chains evolve and demand for domestic food and beverage production increases, projects like this underscore the growing importance of flexible, well-positioned manufacturing hubs across the United States.
