With $7.5 Million Investment, Adding 50 New Jobs
Commercial Specialty Truck Holdings (CSTH), a leading manufacturer of refuse and concrete mixer truck bodies, has announced a significant expansion at its headquarters in Cynthiana, marking another milestone in Kentucky’s growing manufacturing sector. The $7.5 million investment will create 50 full-time jobs and further strengthen the company’s presence in the commonwealth.
Governor Andy Beshear celebrated CSTH’s continued investment in the region, emphasizing the state’s thriving manufacturing industry. “Kentucky’s record-setting economic momentum is driven by companies like CSTH, who see the value in our skilled workforce, prime location, and business-friendly environment,” said Gov. Beshear. “This expansion is another vote of confidence in Kentucky’s future, and I look forward to seeing CSTH’s continued success.”
The expansion follows CSTH’s groundbreaking of a separate $28 million facility in September 2024, a state-of-the-art 250,000-square-foot building designed to meet increasing industry demand. This latest investment will enable CSTH to in-source weldment and machined parts previously produced by third-party suppliers, enhancing efficiency and manufacturing capabilities.
“We are excited to continue growing in Cynthiana and providing high-quality jobs with career paths for our team members,” said Nate Nedley, president of CSTH. “This expansion supports our mission to build industry-leading products while investing in the workforce that drives our success.”
CSTH operates as the parent company of Continental Mixers, E-Z Pack Trucks, One Source Parts, and Dynamic Towing and Manufacturing, serving refuse and concrete fleet operators across North America. With the latest expansion, CSTH’s total employment in Kentucky will reach 350.
Local leaders expressed enthusiasm for CSTH’s ongoing investment. Harrison County Judge/Executive Jason Marshall called the expansion “a testament to our community’s strong work ethic and business-friendly environment,” while Cynthiana Mayor Isaac Dailey highlighted CSTH’s commitment to local growth, saying, “This investment underscores the strength of our workforce and the vitality of our city.”
Garnett Furnish, executive director of Cynthiana-Harrison County Economic Development Authority, emphasized the project’s broader impact: “CSTH’s decision to expand reinforces our reputation as a manufacturing hub. We are proud to support their growth and stand ready to assist them in continuing to be a world-class company.”
CSTH’s expansion contributes to Kentucky’s ongoing economic momentum. Since the beginning of his administration, Gov. Beshear has announced nearly 1,200 private-sector projects totaling over $35 billion in investments, creating more than 61,000 jobs—marking the most significant economic growth period in state history.
