Livingston Parish project expected to generate 212 total jobs; commercial operations begin in 2027
LIVINGSTON, La. — Epic Piping, LLC, a portfolio company of Bernhard Capital Partners (BCP), announced plans to invest $25 million to expand and enhance its advanced manufacturing operations in Livingston Parish, Louisiana, strengthening capacity to serve growing demand across the data center, natural gas, nuclear power, and broader energy sectors.
The expansion is expected to create 76 direct new jobs with an average annual wage of $58,377, approximately 30% above the average Livingston Parish wage, while retaining 370 existing positions. Louisiana Economic Development estimates the project will also generate 136 indirect jobs, bringing total potential job creation to 212 opportunities in the Capital Region.
“Epic Piping’s expansion underscores how Louisiana is positioning itself at the forefront of the industries that keep America moving,” said Governor Jeff Landry. “With pro-growth policies and unmatched industrial capacity, Louisiana is leading the way in energy, manufacturing, and construction. Projects like this strengthen our industrial footprint and create real opportunities for Louisiana workers and families.”
Expanding Advanced Manufacturing Capacity
The project will integrate a fully staffed large-diameter and heavy-wall production line into Epic Piping’s manufacturing facility located at 28445 South Frost Road in Livingston. The expansion will also include upgraded fabrication, testing, and material-handling systems, improving workflow efficiency and enabling the company to execute larger and more complex industrial projects.
Construction is scheduled to begin this month, with commercial operations expected to launch in early 2027.
“Epic Piping has deep roots in Louisiana, where both our world-class fabrication facility and corporate headquarters are located,” said Remi Bonnecaze, CEO of United Weld Holdings, LP, Epic Piping’s parent company. “We are grateful to align with Governor Landry and the LED team, whose efforts to attract transformative projects continue to position Louisiana as a national leader in reshoring American manufacturing. We are proud to help deliver high-impact, long-term jobs for Louisianans.”
Long-Term Investment in Louisiana
This expansion builds on Epic Piping’s 2015 investment, which established its advanced pipe fabrication facility and corporate headquarters in Louisiana.
“Epic Piping was one of the first investments we made when founding our firm, and it has grown into a cornerstone example of our strategy,” said Patrick Bernhard, Managing Director at Bernhard Capital Partners and board member of United Weld Holdings. “This project continues nearly four decades of commitment to Livingston Parish and reflects the strength of Louisiana’s workforce and the future we are building together.”
Louisiana Economic Development Secretary Susan B. Bourgeois highlighted the project’s broader impact. “As investment accelerates across energy, manufacturing, and data infrastructure, companies like Epic Piping are expanding to meet that demand. This project demonstrates the depth of Louisiana’s industrial ecosystem and the opportunities being created for workers statewide.”
State and Local Partnership
The state of Louisiana offered Epic Piping a competitive incentives package that includes LED FastStart workforce development, $900,000 from the Economic Development Award Program (EDAP) for infrastructure improvements, and anticipated participation in the High Impact Jobs Program and the Industrial Tax Exemption Program (ITEP).
- “This expansion is more than infrastructure — it’s confidence,” said Livingston Parish President Randy Delatte. “A $25 million investment and 76 new jobs prove Livingston Parish can compete and win.”
- “As one of our largest employers, Epic Piping has been a tremendous partner,” added Melody Lockwood, president of the Livingston Economic Development Council. “This investment strengthens our economy and creates benefits that ripple throughout the Capital Region.”
- Lori Melancon, president and CEO of the Greater Baton Rouge Economic Partnership, noted, “Epic Piping’s decision to grow here reflects the Capital Region’s advantages — from skilled talent to coordinated state and local support — that enable companies to scale successfully.”
