Adding 127 New Job Opportunities in Acadiana; Project strengthens Louisiana’s energy manufacturing sector and expands vital Gulf South oilfield equipment production
NEW IBERIA, La. — Global Vessel & Tank, LLC, a leading supplier of specialized oil and gas surface production equipment, announced a $5.4 million expansion of its Iberia Parish operations that will significantly increase the company’s manufacturing capacity and support growing demand across the Gulf South.
The expansion project is expected to create 50 new direct jobs with an average annual salary of $66,560—120% above the Iberia Parish average wage—while retaining 106 existing employees. According to Louisiana Economic Development (LED), the project will generate an additional 77 new indirect jobs, for a total of 127 new job opportunities across the Acadiana region.
Growing Louisiana’s Energy Manufacturing Footprint
LED Secretary Susan B. Bourgeois praised the announcement:
“Global Vessel & Tank’s expansion shows how Louisiana manufacturers continue to meet industry demand while creating new opportunities for local workers. The company’s growth in Iberia Parish highlights the important role of energy manufacturing in driving regional investment and job creation.”
The investment will add 30,000 square feet to the company’s existing facility at 3206 Coteau Road, including:
- A new corporate office
- Expanded warehouse
- A larger fabrication shop
These additions will boost production capacity, enhance operational efficiency, and support continued company growth.
Meeting Rising Customer Demand Across the Gulf South
Founded in 2008 and headquartered in Lafayette, Global Vessel & Tank has built a strong reputation in the energy sector for manufacturing ASME code pressure vessels, API storage tanks, and specialized oilfield processing equipment used throughout the Gulf South.
CEO Nathan Pool emphasized the importance of the expansion
“We had the need for increased capacity because of customer demand. This expansion allows us to meet those needs, strengthen our Louisiana footprint, and create more jobs for our company and the state.”
Construction is already underway, with the new office and warehouse scheduled for completion in January 2026, followed by the fabrication shop in March 2026.
Strengthening Iberia Parish’s Industrial Base
Local leaders celebrated the project as another major win for Iberia Parish’s growing manufacturing and energy ecosystem.
Michael J. Tarantino, President & CEO of the Iberia Industrial Development Foundation, stated:
“Iberia Parish is open for business, and Global Vessel & Tank’s expansion represents another significant win for our community. This investment creates valuable opportunities for our world-class workforce and strengthens our parish’s position as a destination for industry growth.”
