New 50,000-square-foot facility to strengthen chemical manufacturing and distribution across the Southeast
LAURENS COUNTY, S.C. (February 10, 2026) — Hydrite Chemical Co., a leading chemical solutions manufacturer and distributor, announced a major expansion in Laurens County with a $63 million investment that will create 13 new jobs and establish a significant operational hub for the Southeast region.
Founded in 1929, Hydrite delivers sustainable solutions that help keep food safe, water clean and plants thriving. The company operates through three business units — Food & Beverage Solutions, Manufactured Solutions, and Agriculture & Sulfur Solutions — serving customers across a wide range of industries. Hydrite currently operates a nationwide network of manufacturing facilities, warehouses and laboratories in California, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Texas and Wisconsin.
The company’s new 43-acre greenfield site, located in Hunter Industrial Park in Laurens, will become the future hub for Hydrite’s Southeast operations, including the integration of the recently acquired Enterprise Specialty Products, Inc. operations in Laurens County.
Hydrite plans to construct a 50,000-square-foot facility featuring office space, laboratories, warehouses, and dedicated operations and logistics areas to support chemical manufacturing and distribution. The new facility is expected to be operational in 2028.
The Coordinating Council for Economic Development has approved a $300,000 Set-Aside grant to Laurens County to assist with site preparation and building construction costs.
