Lubbock, TX -– The Lubbock Economic Development Alliance (LEDA) Team is pleased to announce the hire of Jorge Quirino as special projects coordinator.
Quirino’s primary responsibilities include the coordination of promotional activities attracting new economic life and development in the downtown Lubbock community, structuring economic opportunities in the downtown area, analyzing studies and reports of community resources and more.
“We’re excited to have Jorge join the LEDA Team in this new role for LEDA as Lubbock’s downtown continues to blossom,” John Osborne, president and CEO of LEDA and Visit Lubbock, said. “His extensive experience in general operations, research management and community involvement will be essential to our organization.”
Quirino brings 25 years of business experience with previous positions such as Vice President of Operations for Essential Home Health in Lubbock along with positions at the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce, Convergys and more. Quirino graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing. Recently, he’s served as a board member for Workforce Solutions South Plains, the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce and the Guadalupe/Parkway Neighborhood Centers. He and his wife, Sonya, have three daughters, Mia, Annika and Sophia.
