$44.55 Million Energy Infrastructure Investment to Create 107 New Jobs
WESTMINSTER, S.C. (June 5, 2026) — Mosdorfer LLC, a global manufacturer of energy infrastructure solutions, announced plans to establish its first U.S. operation in Oconee County, South Carolina. The company’s $44.55 million investment will create 107 new jobs.
The new facility will be located at 444 Oconee Business Parkway in Westminster and will serve as Mosdorfer’s North American production and operational hub. Operations are expected to be online by the third quarter of 2027.
Global Energy Infrastructure Manufacturer Expands to the United States
Headquartered in Weiz, Austria, Mosdorfer was founded in 1712 and has operated as a forging company for more than 300 years. In 1949, the company began designing and manufacturing hardware for high-voltage transmission lines.
Today, Mosdorfer has a global footprint with production facilities in Europe, India and Thailand, employing more than 1,100 associates worldwide. As the competence center for the Energy Systems business unit within Knill Energy Group, Mosdorfer designs and manufactures high-voltage transmission line hardware and accessories used to improve the safety, reliability and efficiency of electricity transmission systems.
The company’s products include suspension and tension strings, dampening and vibration systems, and other infrastructure solutions that support energy transmission worldwide.
Oconee County Facility to Support Advanced Manufacturing and Energy Infrastructure
Mosdorfer’s new South Carolina operation will support machining, steel fabrication, assembly, testing and related production activities for high-voltage transmission line components and infrastructure solutions.
The Westminster facility will also support the company’s long-term growth in the U.S. market while creating skilled manufacturing, engineering and administrative jobs in Oconee County.
