- Company’s Center of Excellence will create 38 new jobs and invest $4.5 million
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Sept. 26, 2025 – Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Stuart C. McWhorter and Nissha Medical Technologies (NMT) officials announced the company has selected Nashville, Tennessee, to relocate its engineering operations.
The project represents a $4.5 million investment and will create 38 new jobs. NMT will establish a Center of Excellence in Nashville, with plans to share incubator space for research and development (R&D) at Vanderbilt University.
As part of this expansion, NMT will continue its collaboration with EndoTheia, an endoscopic device developer led by Vanderbilt faculty member Bob Webster. Together, the companies will work to enhance the maneuverability and precision of endoscopic tools in close partnership with Vanderbilt researchers and teams.
Long term, this industry-university collaboration is expected to attract entrepreneurs and medical device companies, offering Vanderbilt students opportunities for internships and hands-on training while connecting researchers with specialized equipment, market insights and NMT’s global network.
