RESERVE, La. — The Port of South Louisiana will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, to celebrate the completion of the Globalplex Dock Access Bridge, a major infrastructure investment designed to enhance cargo efficiency, strengthen dock reliability, and expand heavy-load capacity at the Port’s Globalplex Intermodal Facility.
The new bridge establishes a critical second access route connecting the Port of South Louisiana’s primary logistics and warehousing complex with its Mississippi River dock operations. The project is expected to improve operational resiliency, streamline cargo movement, and support increased domestic and international commodity shipments moving through one of the nation’s busiest port systems.
The infrastructure upgrade was made possible through a combination of federal and state funding, underscoring continued public investment in strengthening Louisiana’s global trade competitiveness and supply chain infrastructure.
