BRUSLY, La. – August 28, 2025 – South Korea-based SNT Motiv and SNT Energy, parent companies of SNT Global, announced a $59.4 million joint venture investment to establish their first consolidated U.S. manufacturing facility in West Baton Rouge Parish, Louisiana. The project strengthens Louisiana’s role in the global defense, automotive, energy, and process industries supply chain while bringing nearly 700 new job opportunities to the Capital Region.
SNT will create 275 direct new jobs with an average wage well above the regional average. Louisiana Economic Development (LED) projects an additional 418 indirect jobs, for a total of 693 new employment opportunities.
The company will renovate the former Trinity Marine Products building in Brusly, which has been vacant since 2015. The facility is expected to begin operations in spring 2026, producing precision-manufactured components for U.S. clients across critical industries.
A Major Win for Louisiana’s 9×90 Growth Plan
“SNT’s decision to launch its first consolidated U.S. manufacturing facility in West Baton Rouge is exactly the kind of global investment our 9×90 plan is designed to deliver,” said LED Secretary Susan B. Bourgeois. “By prioritizing site readiness, talent, and innovation, we are positioning Louisiana to capture projects of this caliber that strengthen our manufacturing, energy, and process industries while creating new high-wage job opportunities for our people.”
SNT already maintains a strong Louisiana connection, with SNT Energy supplying air coolers for Bechtel’s work on Woodside Energy’s $17.5 billion LNG project in Calcasieu Parish. The new facility will expand that presence, with SNT Motiv serving U.S. customers such as General Motors, while SNT Energy supplies Louisiana’s petrochemical and industrial corridor.
“SNT Energy is very excited to work more closely with world-class engineering companies and end customers in the U.S.,” said SNT Energy CEO Hyung S. Kim. “By bringing our precision specialty manufacturing capabilities to Louisiana, we can provide timely and better services for process industries nationwide.”
