GLASGOW, Ky. (Feb. 3, 2026) — Advanced data center infrastructure manufacturer Tate Inc. is moving forward with a $76 million manufacturing investment in Barren County, marking the largest job creation project in the county in nearly two decades. The project will create 400 full-time jobs and establish Tate’s largest global manufacturing facility in Glasgow.
Originally announced in October 2025, the investment has since grown, underscoring the company’s long-term confidence in Kentucky’s workforce, logistics advantages and pro-growth business climate.
State and local leaders joined company executives to celebrate the milestone, highlighting the project’s significance for rural economic development and Kentucky’s expanding role in the data center ecosystem.
“This is the largest job creation project that Barren County has seen in nearly 20 years, and our skilled workforce is ready to deliver,” said Gov. Andy Beshear. “We appreciate Tate’s decision to invest in the commonwealth and look forward to their continued success.”
Strategic Investment in the Data Center Supply Chain
The Glasgow facility will support advanced fabrication, assembly and testing operations for precision-engineered data center infrastructure. The site will help Tate meet accelerating global demand driven by cloud computing, AI deployment and hyperscale data center expansion.
The project follows Tate’s recent facility launches in Virginia and Arkansas, further strengthening the company’s U.S. manufacturing footprint.
“Expanding our manufacturing capabilities in rural Kentucky reflects our commitment to growing our U.S. operations and creating high-quality jobs,” said Daniel Kennedy, Global President of Cloud Solutions and Innovation at Tate.
Tate specializes in interior infrastructure systems for mission-critical data centers, including:
- Aisle containment systems
- Structural ceiling systems
- Airflow management solutions
- Liquid-cooling technologies
The company operates within Kingspan Data Solutions, part of Kingspan Group PLC, which maintains 273 facilities and over 27,000 employees worldwide.
Rural Kentucky Wins a High-Tech Manufacturer
Local leaders emphasized the transformative nature of the investment for Barren County’s economy.
“We’re gaining more than a facility — we’re gaining a true partner,” said Barren County Judge/Executive Jamie Byrd. “This level of investment positions our county for sustained growth and puts our workforce at the center of it.”
Glasgow Mayor Henry Royse noted that early hiring and site activity already signal strong momentum, while Barren County Economic Authority President & CEO Maureen Carpenter credited years of targeted recruitment and site readiness efforts for securing the project.
