POCAHONTAS, Ark. — Tate, a global leader in sustainable, customer-driven infrastructure solutions for mission-critical data center environments, has officially opened a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Pocahontas, Arkansas. The new location expands Tate’s North American manufacturing footprint and enhances the company’s ability to deliver advanced, high-performance data center solutions at scale.
The expansion includes a new product line and a $4 million investment supporting continued growth in the rapidly expanding data center sector. The project will create 52 new jobs, bringing Tate’s total employment in Pocahontas to 200 workers and reinforcing Arkansas’ role as a strategic manufacturing hub for the company.
“Today marks an important milestone not only for Tate, but for the future of data center infrastructure,” said Daniel Kennedy, Global President of Cloud Solutions and Innovation for Tate. “Our expansion in Pocahontas represents a long-term investment in American manufacturing, innovation and the people who make both possible. With this new facility, we’re strengthening our ability to deliver the next generation of data center solutions while creating meaningful opportunities for the community. The talent, partnership and commitment we’ve experienced here have been exceptional, and we’re proud to grow alongside this region.”
Tate celebrated the opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Tuesday at the company’s new 420,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, joined by state and local officials, regional partners and community leaders.
“Arkansas is on its way to becoming a tech hub in America’s heartland, and companies like Tate are critical to that success,” said Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders. “This investment in Pocahontas will strengthen our economy, grow our workforce and send a clear message that the Natural State is the right place to build and expand.”
Tate is a global provider of next-generation data center infrastructure products, offering custom manufacturing capabilities and comprehensive floor-to-ceiling solutions. Operations at the Pocahontas facility will focus on fabricating steel frames for data center applications, further strengthening the local economy and supporting critical digital infrastructure nationwide.
“With this new facility, Tate is planting its flag in Pocahontas and bringing a world-class manufacturing operation to northeast Arkansas,” said Clint O’Neal, executive director of the Arkansas Economic Development Commission. “Communities like Pocahontas help companies thrive thanks to a skilled workforce and a strong value proposition. This is an exciting day for Tate, for Arkansas and for the City of Pocahontas.”
“Today represents a major milestone for our community,” said Pocahontas Mayor Keith Futrell. “This growth is the result of strong partnerships, a dedicated workforce and a commitment to economic development. We are grateful for Tate’s investment and excited to support their success for years to come.”
“We are thrilled to celebrate Tate’s expansion in Northeast Arkansas,” said Graycen Bigger, executive director of the Northeast Arkansas Regional Intermodal Authority. “This investment and ribbon-cutting are a tremendous win for Pocahontas and the region. These advanced manufacturing careers will strengthen families, grow our skilled workforce and position Northeast Arkansas for continued success in today’s data-driven economy.”
“The shared expertise, training, internships and collaboration between Tate and Black River Technical College are setting a new standard for workforce partnerships,” said Dr. Martin Eggensperger, president of Black River Technical College. “Tate’s continued growth in Pocahontas demonstrates what’s possible when industry and higher education work hand in hand.”
