AUBURN, Ala. (Feb. 16, 2026) – Alabama continues to strengthen its position as a global manufacturing hub as Germany-based KettenWulf, a leading producer of engineered chain systems, announced plans to establish a new $34 million manufacturing facility in Auburn, creating an estimated 70 high-quality jobs.
The investment marks a significant step in KettenWulf’s long-term U.S. growth strategy and underscores Auburn’s appeal for international manufacturers seeking a skilled workforce, strong infrastructure, and a pro-business environment.
KettenWulf is a family-owned company specializing in high-performance conveyor chains, drive chains, and sprockets for demanding industrial applications. Its products support critical sectors including mining, steel production, bulk-material handling, and advanced manufacturing.
Governor Kay Ivey said the project reflects Alabama’s continued success in attracting global investment.

Ansgar Wulf, CEO of KettenWulf, Inc., said the Auburn location positions the company to better serve customers throughout the Americas.
“On behalf of the Wulf family, including my siblings Julia and Tobias and our father, we appreciate the valuable support from the City of Auburn and the State of Alabama that made this possible,” Wulf said. “We are proud to have found our new home in Auburn to serve our customers across the Americas.”
Local leaders emphasized the project’s impact on Auburn’s growing advanced-manufacturing ecosystem.
“We are grateful to the Wulf family for choosing Auburn and bringing this outstanding company to our city,” said Auburn Mayor Ron Anders Jr. “KettenWulf strengthens our technology-based manufacturing sector and brings meaningful economic impact and career opportunities for our citizens.”
The Alabama Department of Commerce partnered with the City of Auburn’s Economic Development Department to support the company’s site-selection process.
Ellen McNair, Secretary of the Alabama Department of Commerce, said the project reinforces East Alabama’s competitive advantages.
“We are excited to welcome KettenWulf to East Alabama and look forward to a long and prosperous relationship,” McNair said. “The company’s decision to develop future innovations in Auburn speaks to the strength of the local workforce and the supportive business environment in place.”
KettenWulf leaders view the Auburn facility as a foundation for future U.S. expansion and a long-term partnership with the community.
“Auburn proved to be the right fit for our operational needs, offering a unique environment for our business while strengthening our presence in the U.S. market,” said Brian Ludvigsen, General Manager of KettenWulf, Inc.
