$4.75M investment brings 63 new jobs to Marion County’s growing advanced manufacturing sector
MULLINS, S.C. (Mar. 18, 2026) — Acoustic panel manufacturer NSP Panels has established operations in Marion County, marking a $4.75 million investment that will create 63 new jobs and further strengthen South Carolina’s manufacturing footprint in the Pee Dee region.
The company is now operating from a 129,000-square-foot facility at 3630 W. Highway 76 in Mullins, where it is producing premium acoustic absorptive and decorative wall panels, moldings and accessories for commercial and residential applications across the North American market.
NSP Panels’ product portfolio supports growing demand for sound-management solutions in sectors including corporate interiors, education, hospitality, healthcare and residential construction. The new facility enhances the company’s production capacity while positioning it strategically within a region known for its strong workforce and competitive operating environment.
State and local leaders supported the project through targeted infrastructure investment. The South Carolina Coordinating Council for Economic Development awarded Marion County a $300,000 grant to assist with building improvements tied to the project.
Strengthening Regional Manufacturing Momentum
Company leadership cited strong collaboration with state and regional partners as a key factor in selecting Marion County.
“From day one, Marion County and state partners have welcomed us with exceptional support,” said NSP Panels CEO Ed Bass. “We are excited to bring new jobs and investment to the area and look forward to building strong relationships as we expand our presence in South Carolina.”
South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster emphasized the role of advanced manufacturing investments in driving economic opportunity across the state.
“By creating 63 new jobs, NSP Panels will bring new opportunities to hardworking families in Marion County while building on our state’s strong manufacturing reputation,” McMaster said.
South Carolina Secretary of Commerce Harry M. Lightsey III noted that the project reinforces continued growth across the Pee Dee region.
“This investment strengthens South Carolina’s economic development momentum and underscores the competitiveness of communities like Marion County,” Lightsey said.
Local leaders also highlighted the project’s long-term community impact. Marion County Council Chairman Dewayne Tennie said the investment reflects both workforce strength and the region’s ability to attract new industry.
Regional economic development partners, including the North Eastern Strategic Alliance (NESA), view the project as an important step in expanding high-value manufacturing opportunities.
Operations Underway
Operations at the Mullins facility are already online. Individuals interested in joining the NSP Panels workforce are encouraged to apply in person at the facility.
The investment supports continued diversification of South Carolina’s manufacturing base while reinforcing the state’s positioning as a competitive destination for industrial growth, advanced production and supply-chain investment.
