GRAY COURT, S.C. — Shamrock Technologies, Inc., a global leader in specialty additives, will relocate its corporate headquarters to Laurens County, South Carolina, as part of a $39.6 million expansion that will create 57 new jobs, state officials announced.
The company will establish its new headquarters at 101 Connexial Boulevard in Gray Court, consolidating corporate operations while expanding manufacturing and research capabilities in the region.
Founded more than 85 years ago, Shamrock Technologies specializes in the production of micronized wax and specialty additives used across a wide range of industrial applications, including coatings, inks, greases and lubricants. The company first established operations in South Carolina in 2022 after acquiring an existing manufacturing facility that produces micronized wax, dispersions, emulsions and related products.
The Laurens County expansion will significantly broaden the company’s footprint in the state. Plans for the new campus include corporate offices, research and development laboratories, a pilot plant, warehouse space and expanded production facilities.
Once construction is completed, Shamrock will relocate its current headquarters from New Jersey to the South Carolina site, positioning the Gray Court facility as the company’s global corporate hub.
Some operations at the new headquarters are expected to begin coming online by late 2027, with full project completion anticipated by 2030.
Company leaders say the expansion reflects Shamrock’s long-term commitment to growth and innovation while strengthening its partnerships in South Carolina.
“Shamrock Technologies is proud to continue investing in our South Carolina operations as we build the future home of our company,” said Michael Kellen, CEO of Shamrock Technologies, Inc. “For 85 years, our growth has been driven by strong partnerships and a commitment to people, and we look forward to deepening those ties as we expand in Gray Court.”
South Carolina leaders highlighted the announcement as another example of advanced manufacturing growth across the state.
“Shamrock’s decision to expand in Laurens County is another vote of confidence in South Carolina’s talented workforce and pro-business climate,” said Governor Henry McMaster.
The South Carolina Coordinating Council for Economic Development approved job development credits to support the project.
